Are transfers to and from the airport included in my conference registration?
Delegates are requested to arrange their own airport transports and claim the expense through the usual ICON internal expense claims process. Please share transportation with fellow delegates, where possible.
What time can I check into the InterContinental Hotel?
Official check-in time is at 3pm however every effort will be made to have your room available upon arrival. Please notify Energy Group at
icon@energygroup.ie if you require an early check-in.
Is my hotel accommodation paid for?
The conference will pay for the nights of 28th 29th and 30th January. All meals during these dates will also be covered by the conference. Any other expenses not covered by the conference should be handled through the usual ICON internal expense claims process.
Will I receive a hotel confirmation number?
You will not receive a hotel confirmation number for your reservation, however you can be assured that you will be booked into the hotel from 28th – 30th January inclusive, if you are a delegate that is travelling to Ireland for the conference and eligible for hotel accommodation. If you wish to extend your stay at the hotel at your own expense, please contact
icon@energygroup.ie to arrange an extended stay.
Is there parking available at the hotel?
Yes, there is parking available at the hotel and parking fees can be claimed back via the usual ICON internal expense claims process.
Will taxi fares be covered by the conference?
Taxi fares will not be covered by the conference budget, rather they can be claimed as an expense through your normal cost centre, using the usual ICON internal expense claims process. Ireland-based delegates can choose to either drive and park at the hotel or take a taxi each day to travel to and from the conference. International delegates are requested to share airport transfers with other conference delegates, where possible, due to the distance from Dublin airport to the InterContinental Hotel (approx. 16kms).
Where can I pick up my conference badge?
You can pick up your conference badge at the entrance to the welcome reception at the InterContinental Hotel on Tuesday, 28th January. Conference badges must be worn to all meetings.
What time do I need to arrive for the welcome reception & dinner on the 28th January?
The welcome reception & dinner runs from 18:30 – 20:00. Please refer to the “Agenda” tab for all other times for the conference activities.
I would like to stay on in the hotel for the weekend at my own expense. How can I arrange this?

What is the dress code for the conference and evening functions?
The dress code for the conference and conference dinners is business casual.
